A video series and evening of highlighting Asian American mixed artists
Presented by the Arvada Center for the Arts & Humanities alongside the Japanese Arts Network.
This video series highlighted four artists from various AAPI ethnic and artistic backgrounds and was followed by an evening at the Arvada Center in which the artists presented their works and participated in a panel discussion. In the video I spoke to my various artistic influences and background as a mixed-race Nikkei. For the in-person portion, I performed the katas Anan Dai (Ryuei-ryu) and Chinte (Shotokan)
